When will Live Events Return?

On this week’s episode of the Run of Show, Show, we look into the question on everyone’s minds, when will live events come back?  Using probabilistic thinking Bayesian Psychology we can accurately predict when live events will come back. And we’re not talking about baseball games without a live audience.  I’m talking about conferences, live sporting events, and live music.

Also, this week Run of Show is doing our first-ever segment called, One Cool Things with Handsome Jack.  We check out the hottest new free video app that will be sure to make you the life of the party…  On your next Zoom call.   We talk about Zoom, and how it’s good for video calls, but perhaps not the best option for large companies doing internal communications with any sensitive information.

run of show

With the recent pandemic outbreak of Covid-19, Run of Show understands that the live event industry has taken an abrupt halt. That is why we would like to create the opportunity to explore the possibilities of when live events will return and the alternatives, such as virtual conferences, to get us through in the meantime.

To make this a little more interactive, we’re doing a 30-second survey. The survey asks you to guess how long it will take to test, develop and distribute: 1) a vaccine, 2) an MRNA vaccine, 3) a highly effective antiviral treatment for COVID, or 4) until we naturally have herd immunity. Any of these occurrences would likely bring events back. Then, you can see the average of everyone’s results.  For free!  We’re not capturing any of your info.  We’re legitimately doing this because, we’re curious, and according to science, the average weight of our guesses will be within 10% of what the experts can come up with.

Run of Show, Show, can predict when live events will return!

The possible scenarios that would allow live events to come back include:  1) Everyone gets vaccinated, 2) We develop and distribute an MRNA vaccine, 3) We develop herd immunity and 4) we develop a highly-effective antiviral treatment.

Using what we call, science,  we use the best tools available to us for predicting the future:  Bayesian Psychology and Futuristic Thinking. Here’s the link to take the survey about when live events will return: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/WBXMSGD
